Mission - To financially assist underprivileged players who participate in the Olympic Development Program and help reduce the cost for all participants.

Solutions – To support the mission  through fundraising, donations, gifts, and grants. Donations would be placed in a newly-formed fund titled New Mexico ODP Scholarship Fund. All donations to this Fund are tax-deductible.

Who are we?

The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program was formed in 1977 to identify a pool of players in each age group from which a National Team will be selected for international competition; to provide high-level training to benefit and enhance the development of players at all levels; and, through the use of carefully selected and licensed coaches, develop a mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching.

Why help?

When you help the Fund, you help kids play soccer. There are a number of ways you can assist the young soccer players in your community. A gift to the Scholarship Fund can help kids develop important life skills and friendships through this soccer program. These donations accrue to the Scholarship Fund and the interest from the Fund is used to foster the Olympic Development Program around the state. What's not to like about this Endowment? Everything we do is for the betterment of kids through soccer. We want to see kids develop their skills as people and players, while having a fun and rewarding experience. Soccer is an amazing and challenging sport but even better than this sport are the kids that play it. Help us, help the kids of New Mexico Youth Soccer.

Goals

The Scholarship Fund’s main mission is to support the Olympic Development Program. We are seeking donations to establish a pool of at least $50,000 to be used in two ways:

  • To provide over 30 scholarships to New Mexico Olympic Development Players who demonstrate financial need
  • To help reduce the costs for all participants.

How can I help?

The New Mexico Youth Soccer ODP Scholarship Fund welcomes your tax-deductible donations by any of these methods:

  • Writing a check (make checks payable to the New Mexico Youth Soccer Scholarship Fund),
  • Gifting shares of stock to the Fund,
  • Naming the Fund as the whole or partial beneficiary of a life insurance policy, IRA or 401K pension plan,
  • Making a charitable bequest in your will or estate plan, or,
  • Directing your United Way pledge to the Fund.
