Over 85% of New Mexico Youth Soccer is comprised of recreational players in local leagues – and the need for volunteers to run those programs is enormous. Every local league needs officers for the board, schedulers, field liners, referees, coaches and assistant coaches, registrars and fundraisers. They need people to run concessions, buy uniforms, interact with the Parks Department and coordinate all manner of activities. Your help, whether it is a few hours a year, or a couple of hours a day can make a huge difference.
The first step is contacting your local league office, your child’s coach, or the person that first registered your child, and making the offer to help. Through the programs that we offer at the state level, and local league experience, we will help make sure that you succeed in your volunteer position and that you have the training necessary to make the experience rewarding for you and for the children you interact with.
